Cloud Perspective CEO, Martyn Leman visits our three Wigan and Leigh colleges taking part in the 2020 Cloud Perspective Trailblazer Challenge with a talk and Q & A session to engage and inspire the Business and Computing Trailblazer students.
As part of our Trailblazer Challenge with over 100 Wigan and Leigh students to introduce them to the Salesforce Ecosystem, the Cloud Perspective team of mentors, headed up by CEO Martyn Leman, visited St John Rigby Sixth Form College, Wigan & Leigh College and Winstanley College to talk to the students about how to launch and run a successful small tech business from Wigan.

Martyn Leman explained how sudden redundancy gave him and partner Miranda Pocock the impetus to start their own business and how with hard work and dedication they went from working in their own loft to running a successful data consultancy from a setting on the Leeds to Liverpool canal and a team of Data Consultants working for them for a host of Fortune 500 clients.
Martyn Leman said: “The students have already shown great enthusiasm and understanding of the Trailblazer Challange, we have set them, and there are a number who we can see from their results already that could have a successful career in this industry.

“Our roadshow last month demonstrated that a small business in Wigan can not only be successful but can work with global blue chip businesses, on a daily basis.

Cloud Perspective will not only be offering prizes to the winning top three students and a trophy for the winning college they are also providing an opportunity for the top-performing students to really help them in their future career.

Maryn Leman, concludes:“As a consequence of the success of the Trailblazer challenge, we will be offering work experience to promising students and we will finance 3 students to sit a Salesforce exam, giving each of them the opportunity to gain Salesforce Certifications, on achieving a passing grade.
“These qualifications will provide the students with an advantage over other graduates and college leavers looking for a career in the UK or further afield, working with, or for, Salesforce.
