In the fast-paced world of technology, taking a moment to step back, connect, and reflect as a team is great. That’s precisely what we did during our recent core day at our Manchester offices; a day filled with insights, collaboration, and, most importantly, fun.
MORNING: Energised Beginnings
Our day started bright and early, with the team gathering at Beehive Lofts in Manchester. The agenda was packed with interactive sessions designed to foster creativity and innovation, and by the end of the day, we were buzzing with new ideas and perspectives. Usually dial-in, the All-Hands meeting was held in person, it was a lively affair, during which we discussed ongoing projects and plans for the future.
AFTERNOON: Collaboration in Action
Post-lunch, we plunged into brainstorming and strategic meetings:
The afternoon sessions fostered a spirit of collaboration. There were sessions on diverse subjects including “Running Successful Meetings” and “8 Principles of Data Design and Development.” The standout session of the day was “HR at CP”, with a tricky interactive session fostering lively discussion! Seeing how different minds within our team worked together towards a common goal was inspiring. This was a testament to the collaborative spirit that drives our success. We wrapped up the afternoon session with a ferociously competitive round of Pool. Evidently, our CEO has played before.
EVENING: Culinary Delights and Laughter ( aka Food & drinks and a very loud venue!)
After a productive day, it was time to unwind and enjoy each other’s company outside the work context. We headed to one of Manchester’s renowned Northern Quarter restaurants for a team dinner. This was an opportunity for everyone to relax, indulge in delicious food, and share stories and laughs. Moments like these strengthen our bond as a team and remind us of the importance of work-life balance.
