We catch up with Manisha on her journey to Delivery Manager and the success she has had along the way.
The journey from Trainee Data Consultant to Delivery Manager
I started as a Trainee Data Consultant at Cloud Perspective in lockdown. After completing the Salesforce certifications and Informatica training within the first 3 months, I then qualified as a Data Consultant. I was keen to get involved in technical projects, get as much hands-on experience as possible, and learn many new skills. See Manisha’s Journey
Soon, I was leading bigger projects, coordinating project teams, and having additional responsibilities within the Delivery Team. I found this to be something I enjoyed, and although I knew it would be a big step up when the opportunity presented itself, I put myself forward for the Delivery Manager position. Four years on, and I have now been leading the Delivery Team for one year.
How does the team stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends?
We have various formats for sharing news amongst the team, whether in the company group chat or more formally announced in the ‘All-Hands’ company meeting. We often discuss relevant topics in the outside world or our industry. At Cloud Perspective, we aim to keep up to date with the latest technology. Therefore, we encourage the whole team to look for new tools and learn how we can use them with our clients.
Every week, there’s a ‘Tech Talk’ drop-in session, where we can share new features or novel solutions with the rest of the team. As Informatica Platinum Partners, we’re very lucky to have available training resources to ensure we’re skilled in the latest product features. We also regularly attend Informatica Partner networking events to keep our ears to the ground for any exciting upcoming news.

What do you find most rewarding about leading the technical delivery team?
Personally, the most rewarding part of the Delivery Manager role is seeing someone progress from a Trainee to a qualified Data Consultant. A lot of learning is involved in the first few months, and they’re given a lot of responsibility from the get-go. Before you know it, they own technical work, take on client meetings and lead projects.
It’s always great to look back and recognise how far my team has come. I’m also proud of the collaborative work ethic we have cultivated. It’s great to see everyone come together to tackle a challenging data problem and celebrate each other’s personal development achievements.
